Startup Investment and Community Capital Expo is a yearly event in the Monterey Bay region that brings together investors and emerging companies.
Traditionally a live event, SICC needed a website that could accommodate a complex schedule of investor panels and company pitches in real-time for a large audience.
Additionally, they needed a virtual “tradeshow” to feature the pitching companies and the ability to support networking by attendees.
Embedded live webinars and recorded sessions within the same virtual room. Recordings of past sessions are embedded immediately after session completes so the user knows where to find the session, whether it is live or previously recorded.
Virtual business cards display company information on both sides, revealed on hover. Live links lead to dedicated company pages.
The site provides a space to showcase companies, sponsors, and media partners.
Users can browse through the Trade Show “floor” and visit the virtual booths by clicking on the company name.
Color-coding facilitates easy visual scanning for information.
Each company and sponsor had a customized page to communicate its mission, provide an overview and make videos and downloadable documents available to users and investors.
